"Out with the old year and in with the new"

Films: New Years Evil (1980)

Alias: Richard Sullivan

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The ways of stardom can corrupt, even in the slightest amount. And that bites when your fame makes your loved ones turn on you. Just hope they don't go too insane because of it.

History: On New Years Eve, rock superstar Diane "Blaze" Sullivan is planning to host the greatest countdown party ever. But she forgot something. Her husband Richard has grown tired of her constantly dating other guys for the spotlight, and her influence on their son Derek is particularly awful in his eyes. So he decides that the best thing to do is to don a mask and the name "Evil", planning to kill several people on live T.V. before finishing Diane off.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, Richard is foiled in his attempt to kill Diane. Before the authorities can apprehend him, he goes to the top of a building, quotes Hamlet, and jumps to his death. It is heavily implied that Derek is going to take his place...

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Admittingly, Evil's fake voice is somewhat hard to take seriously, and his mask is a joke. However, that doesn't make him any less dangerous as a killer.

Trivia: -At one point, this film was paired up with "Christmas Evil" as a holiday double-feature. We'll get to that other film later.

-Before you ask, this film was released only five days before the actual New Years Eve before 1981.
